My Apex Jr. looks to have died, no status light at all and will not connect at all, and cannot connect to change lighting and temperature settings. I'm thinking about a new Apex EL only without the 8 outlets.
The temperature probe is still operational through the Apex Jr. I have a VDM controlling my lights and the AquaController that still workes.
I have a Milwaukee PH probe. I have my skimmer and pumps plugged into GFI outlets
Anyone running only the Apex EL alone? Your thoughts......
I've contacted Neptune support to try and solve the issue, seems to be dead.
Thanks for looking

How long have u had the unit? Neptune should help u out...but if u need to replace it sounds like a solid plan if ur never going to use the add ons.

I went ahead and purchased an Apex EL with the energy bar directly from Neptune. I did have a bump in the road getting the Wi-Fi connected, their tech was great, it did take several remote connections to get it to connect.
I'm very happy with the Apex EL, I like the control options using the new energy bar 8. I have the BRS dosing pumps now running off the energy bar, it's easy to set up using Reeftronic's program. https://www.reeftronics.net/adpg/dosingcalc.php
I'm finally getting my tank parameters in line, including my ReefLEDlights.com lighting was running way to strong for my few LPS corals. I now have the white LEDs running at their minimum's about 10% and the blue's between 15% and ramping to 30% for a few hours then back to 15%. I even have my sump light connected to the energy bar outlet #7, that along with the BRS dosing pumps I've been able to eliminate 3 timers.
Love the new programming vs. the old Apex Jr.
Very happy so far with the purchase. I now have a PinPoint Ph controller & probe to sell.
Oh, forgot your one point of your question, the Apex Jr. was about 6 years old.
