Moving some cables around and reconnecting for better cable management and plugged everything back in and for some reason the Apex display is not registering or displaying. The light shows but no numbers?

Thanks

Have you reached out to Neptune? They may be able to troubleshoot it for you. Any of our #apexusers got any ideas?

Yes i have a ticket in with them right now. We have tried to trouble shoot this. I am trying to update the firmware thru the classic dashboard but it wont connect to the apex display to do that. I was able to update the FMM that way but for some reason it wont connect to the aquacontroller.

Any ideas??

I don't, but I'm hoping someone else may chime in.

That makes 2 of us! lol
I had success by using the flash utility. or by direct connecting using IP 10.0.0.57 going to configuration module set up and delete the display module with the display disconnected. Then reconnecting the display so it searches for the new module. I have the older Apex controller. I am not any where near an expert so proceed with caution. I could be totally wrong.

I’m sure you tried it already...but just in case - unplug and re- connect.
Happened to my classic yesterday and the above did the trick.
Best of luck.

Thanks i wish it were that easy! I have tried:

changing to each aquabus connector on the base unit
restarting my router/modem
updating the firmware in classic dashboard
powering off the entire apex system, waiting for 10 mins and starting again

and a few others a cant even remember! lol
I have a phone appt with Neptune on monday. Hopefully they can give me some insight

That is the ONE thing i havent tried is to delete the entire module and reinstall it. Maybe like a computer driver. I will holler back in a bit after i try that! Thanks!

Ok now that i have deleted that module, how do i locate it again to reinstall it? guess i should have asked that question first.

After the Display module is physically disconnected and then deleted in software, plug it in again and the Apex should recognize it. Also, the Display module always has to be module #1 on the Modules page. If it doesn't get recognized, isn't assigned as module 1, or if somehow something else is in that slot, you may have to contact Neptune for help.

Slot 1 is still open at the moment. All other modules are listed as 2.3,4,5. But not that i deleted it and plugged it in again, its the screen is not turning orange and its not showing up on the apex fusion module list. Any suggestions??

It might have failed. I'd talk to Neptune tomorrow. If they can't fix it remotely, you may just have to get a new one.
