The last few weeks/months I've been struggling with my elegance coral. Kept thinking the flow was either too strong or just 'wrong', causing the coral to get pushed out of its skeleton. Right now it's in a low flow area coming from different directions. I had him placed upright in the sandbed for a while, but recently layed the skeleton on its side. Reason is that all I would see was the underside of the flesh thinking it was a sign of too much flow.
Laying it sideways has helped a bit, yet despite the low flow he still seems to be stretching out of its skeleton pretty far (see last picture). Can't remember it looking like that +/- 6 months ago. Something else that has been happening since the last 2 months or so, is that the fleshy body gets pushed down towards the sandbed (see first picture). The only way to prevent that from happening is basically turning all pumps off. The slightest bit of flow will push the flesh down.
Is my flow still too strong? Something wrong with the elegance itself perhaps? Or is he just happy?
He extends all throughout the day and deflates at night. When he's deflated it doesn't look like the flow is too strong though...
