I was doing my first magnesium test with a brand new elos test kit. I remove the cap after adding reagent b, and the glass vial shattered, leaving just the bottom. Luckily, no liqiud was lost, and I was able to find an api test vial that I never used. I was just wondering who else this happened too, and if there is any way to get a new vial from elos.

No excess heat, I think it was just the cap design, I had to bent it into an ovular shape, so that is probably the cause. It would be better if the cap went around the outside, like on api test kit vials.
