I just got a black walnut slab for my first river table project. I hope it comes out half as good as yours!

Does anyone know where I could get 16" drawer slides that are 3/8" thick or less? I have a dresser that needs new ones. I bought some replacements already, but they are too thick at 1/2". Thanks for any recommendations!
Thx. I found that one, too. I need side-mount instead of center-mount.35-lb. Center-Mount Drawer Slides - Centerline® 714 (14" to 24")

Where in Florida are you?

You're brave doing a wood door. I'd be concerned with swelling and warping from the humidity.
Nice! At 400 it should be really smooth... you want it smoother than glass? You could break out the buffer and polish it.I need some advice from the guys who know how to put that A+++++ finish on wood furniture.
I had a friend make me a display/book case out of hickory.
I wanted it to match our new hickory cabinets I installed last year. Same general color and style.
It's 72" x 24" x 9".
Goes up against the fridge facing into the living room.
Here is a picture in my friends shop.
I am finishing it with Minwax clear satin.
I started with 220 grit and went to 320 grit sandpaper. A lot of it.
That put a glass smooth surface on it.
I've got 3 coats of the minwax on it now. I sanded with 320 grit between the first and second coats. 400 grit between the second and third coat.
What's my next step to get that silky smooth finish?
The lights in my shop have a tendency to make pictures come out with a lot more yellow in them, than there really is.
THere will be 2 shelves down below behind the door when it's mounted.
2 glass shelves in the upper space.
