Wait, you're using the powder, not the liquid 2 part? In that case, you won't be able to use the dosing pump. Are you using the powder in addition to a liquid alk supplement? I though you meant that you were using Reef Code A (calcium) and Reef code B (buffer)

o no sorry about the confussion no i want to switch over to a liqiud so i can dose it thru a pump that is why i was askin about the b ionic

Sorry about that, disregard just about everything I've said then. I would definitely switch over to a liquid dosing regiment so that you can use the dosing pumps. B-Ionic seems to get good reviews as do most of the liquid 2 parts. Depending on the size of your tank and your calcium/alk demand, you may want to look into the stuff from bulk reef supply to save some cash. It doesn't contain any trace elements or magnesium, but it has treated me well. Going a week without dosing trace elements shouldn't really be a problem with a water change before/after, so no need to worry about that.
