Hi all,
Planning a build with the sump in the basement if there is a drain available. There are two pipes in close proximity coming out of the floor.
One is approx 3" diameter that has some type of 'seal' at a level just below the floor. The other pipe is approx 2".
Does anyone know what these are for? Hoping one is a drain line. I am going to have a plumber come over but wanted to get
some input if possible. I would really appreciate it folks.

Thanks and happy reefing.
Dan

The 3" could be the drain and the 2" the vent. Have your plumber check it out though as I am just guessing

Thanks Peter, I will definitely get a plumber to come over just to check it. Pay for his time and have him come back to install a sink for me. My plan hinges upon having a drain . I work from home so I can be entertained all day while working! I have been out of the hobby for about 10 years and I am craving an SPS tank

Good news!
They are drains for a sink and toilet.
Next step is a contractor to create a green field from the second floor. After that the build will begin. Getting stoked

Be well and happy reefing

Going to hit Reefapaloosa tomorrow to check out the equipment. Going to eat my heart out not being able to bring home some coral. Maybe a dumb question but do equipment suppliers offer discount or sell product at the show?

The one for the Toilet doesn’t have a Trap. Don’t leave it open, or you’ll get Sewer Gases in the house. The toilet has the trap built in.
