Mine is more stringy than yours was. Wondering if this is maybe a different strain. I'd check if I had a microscope, but I don't, unfortunately.

Though I'd post a quick update. I was successful in stopping the dinos! Phosphates are above 0 and no dinos in sight for a few days. Big thanks to @mjw011689

I'm very glad I was able to avoid an outbreak. The UV/non zero phosphates in tandem with the reduced lighting was the key.
