I haven't seen any updates on user experience with the Natura so i thought i would post an update on mine. I'm running my own simple 20Kish program along with the lunar cycle and things are looking very good. I'll post a short video soon of my little 75 but in the meantime here's a few pics.

This was taken with my phone yesterday on the ramp down about 2 hours before lunar kicks in. the POP isn't really captured well but it DOES BRING OUT POP!

i have a couple good size galaxias and both have great color but the Natura really pops this one and brings out the purple.

Awesome to see. I am building out a new 180 gallon tank and starting out with 3 lights. It will be a couple months before I have any corals in the tank but I will have to post my experience once I do.

Nice

i'm running a simple program heavy on blue and violet with channels 1 and 2 at 30% and below.
I'm using the lunar and clouds feature as well. The app is super responsive and IMO very easy to work with.

A little video. Sorry the beginning clip is the Helius program which i switched over. My Quick app just included it at the start. Need to work on a few things. Mainly aptasia (mostly in sand bed) and some deep cyano under the bed along with moving some zoas that are getting buried by my big clown fish inside the grotto. Overall i love the light!

Just mounted the Natura light and programmed it. I was about to contact Orphek about the lack if information on the moon cycle.

Initially I set the moonlight manually to go on just after lights out and then off just before lights on. BUT the program doesn't seem to like that; twice it switched back to the moon cycle based on my location. My understanding of this feature is that it follows my local
( San Diego) moon rise and set.

But if my lights go off at 8.30 pm I want my moon light to start at 8.31. NOT at 6:30 when it gets dark. Which will be 5:30 pm next month.

On top of that there's a third way to set the moon cycle, by pressing the Lunar icon and that programming is different than the the other options.

Can anyone shed some moonlight on these confusing options?

if you just click the lunar switch it will rise and set according to PST

tap expand and under the lunar tab if you tap the right top corner where the 3 vertical dots are you can set custom on/off and what color you like for the moon phase.

you want to get into this window

are you referring to the video? Sorry, the Quick app i was referring to is an app used for Go Pros. I just snapped some pics with my phone and loaded on the Go Pro Quick app. That app puts little collages together in recent photo groups so i thought that was easiest.

Icon app? Yes it IS very good. Super responsive! Only thing i wish they had was arrows for the channel increase up or down as opposed to using a stylus or your finger. Some of us have sausage fingers and it can be a little jumpy LOL

Yep, I have that enabled and set. BUT with the Sun Moon Sync toggle switchs on the programming page they are ON also. I can turn them off and press Send and that happens. But as soon as I leave the app and come back both toggles are back on. Same when I set a custom time on the programming page.

So if the Lunar AND the Sun Moon Sync toggle switches are active which is in control?

I think I get it now, I was not sure what Helius was because that is how little I played with them :p It's just what they call the program thats on them.

I do agree the sliders can be annoying but just so happy with how it connected immediately and opens up and doesn't crash or fail to load

it should be the Lunar. my sun moon syn is set too for my location here in Chino CA which has sunset at 1900. My fixture is set to shut down at 9p.m. and my moons show right when it ramps off. I'm at work at 6 a.m. so i'll have to check if they cut off at "lights on". This is probably a good question for the Orphek Atlantic forum where they have Icon users as well. Maybe drop a post there if you dont contact Orphek directly. Sorry, i'm new to these fixtures too and I'm definitely not an expert (YET lol). BTW i run a 12 hr program from 9 to 9.

i hear you

the app is way more responsive than my GHL control center or Mobius app. Everything is immediate which is so nice. I ran the Helius program during acclimation and my corals really responded well with nice polyp extension. My only issue was that on the second week i started getting cyano where i never had issues before. I created a new program and boosted the blue/purple spectrums and dropped channel 1 and 2 down to 25 and 35% and now the cyano patches have receded. The Helius program is very Natural looking though which i do like! very much like a 14k MH fixture with crisp bright light.

I love crisp white.. love love... ran t5's with some 6500k tossed in for awhile but eventually gave in for LED. first thing I noticed was how white I could make it, fish look amazing. It was a big "phew, I didn't waste my money for something I dislike" type thing. I used to run nano-box LIMEs on my nano's and it was such a beautiful thing.

Ya, we all want to see our beautiful fish. Mine hide from me (except for my 2 dart fish and coral beauty) when i'm in front of tank without food LOL. we have to decide if we want our fish to look great or focus on the corals. A good blend of LEDs should allow us to find a balance between the two.

I still really like my Mitras LX7 but the app was awful. This Orphek Natura seems more powerful even at 150 watts compared to the 195 of the Mitras (maybe it's in my head). Another thing i REALLY like is that there's no light bleed or glare when viewing from the living room. That's always been a big deal with my family. The only bleed i get is from my Noops but when i shut them off all the Natura light is down into the tank..

I’m setting up a 112g 3x3 lagoon and have two or3 bars so was considering getting one or two of these, but I’ve seen what seems to be a lot of criticism on orphek as a company, customer service wise and such and also some poor reviews on the lights. I think they’re awesome lights and love the way they look

Yep, I've read the good and the bad reviews too but nothing bad so far on the new ICONS. As far as customer service goes, i haven't had a need yet to contact them, but if i do i hope to have a better experience than some of the negative posts i've read. Time will tell i guess.
With regard to QC issues it appears that several owners experienced burnt out diodes. From what i could see, they appear to be from Gen4 and prior with the acrylic tops. I've read older Orpheks with the acrylic tops may have heat dissipation issues which could have contributed to those diodes going out (new icons have full aluminum casings). I also read that some have seen weak solder points while doing an upgrade. With all that said i see many, many good reviews too (even on the older models). Heck even Radions and AI's have quite a few issues such as scalding hot ballasts, quirky app fluctuations that blast your corals and customer services issues.

So far I'm happy. Fingers crossed;)

They’re really nice lights. I have ecotech currently and have had some intermittent issues here and there nothing crazy I hope you have good luck and I will continue to look into them. They just seem to have beautiful color

I just looked at the Atlantik Manuel. The Sun Moon Sync is new with the Natura.

I sent Orphek customer service a detailed question asking for an explanation on the three different options (it appears) to set the moon cycle.

Pretty ridiculas there isn't better instructions, especially on a new heavily hyped product.

I'm having trouble with the App but maybe I'm just not understanding it yet. I'm hoping you can clarify some things for me? I'm in San Diego so our days are the same.

I don't want to run SunMoonSync because I have my lights on 8.30 am to 8.30 pm. So under the SunMoonSync Program I have deactivated the Enabled and MoonCycle toggles and pressed send.

BUT when I move out of range or exit and open the app again, and then go to SunMoonSync to check, both settings show as active again.

You mentioned your lights do go off at 9.00pm. Do they go off even though your Enabled and MoonCycle toggles show ON/Blue? Right now mine runs the custom Helios program I sent up EXCEPT my ON and OFF times are controlled by SunMoonSync.

I have been going back and forth with Orphek tech support but there's a language barrier. I can see why some have issues with their customer service.
