Hard to see but it looks like it’s just closed up due to something touching it. Perhaps a hermit or emerald crawled on it?

Hm looks like a wall hammer, unfortunate. They are difficult to keep as if it starts to go downhill then the entire thing will go aposed to branching vetiety where it will affect single heads. But to know whats happening we need more info. Perams, temp, salinity, etc. But it could also just having a coral equivilent to a mood swing. Time will tell.

Nah mate nothing i can see its got worse aswell ill post another picture

Tell us about your tank?
Assume it’s young and you’re new(ish) to the hobby?

Even from those pics I suspect it’s out its way out.
Could be due to many reasons, chemical, flow too strong or directed at it, predators.

Whoever started the rumour that LPS are easier than SPS is a liar, they’re incredibly picky and often very difficult to get the right conditions.
Particularly for younger tanks, or people who are inexperienced.

I’ve maybe lost 4-5 torches and a couple of hammers since I started reefing 15 years or so ago.

You didn't buy anything wrong, corals come in all shapes and sizes.

Maybe I jumped the gun thinking it was done for, one of the pics looked like some of the flesh was coming away.
It the flesh doesn't come away, but it stays closed, maybe try moving it, or your powerhead direction, or maybe the light is turned up too high.

Just to say though, your tank looks awesome dude, get used to it and use it as a learning exercise before you upgrade, get your monies worth. It could be a great build!
