Any idea what is happening to my zoathids

Been gone for a week and half and had someone looking g after my tank so alk is lower than normal.

Alk is pretty low butt you noted. Your nitrates are low as well. They may need some nutrients in the water?

Raise alk and nitrate but I doubt that would cause the Zoas to melt?

Zoas can get depressed you need a 24/7 zoa therapy specialist to remind them they are a top 10 coral.
Do a water change and get your parameters back up. If they don't improve look for something bothering them parasites, tankmates picking on them, etc...

Not the op but I’ve been having similar issues for a while. Really haven’t thought about lighting. I think I’m about 120 PAR on the sand. Should I try to shade them some?
