Any guides out there on how top best use Biopellets?

I am going to have biopellets and a skimmer on my new tanks filtration system and i would like to see user recommendations on how to best begin using biopellets.

I went with half of recommended to begin with. Recommended is 250ml for 50 gallons. I will wait a couple of weeks then add the other half. You can also add Prodibio to promote a wider variety of bacteria.
