Hi everyone, tank is 240 gallons. I’m debating adding some pink square anthias, and lyretail anthias. Current Stocking is:
11” hi fin snapper
10” naso tang
8” magnificent foxface
6” polleni grouper
6” marine beta
6” blue throat trigger
5” powder blue tang
5” purple tang
5” Atlantic blue tang
4” Achilles tang
4” bi color angel
3” ocellaris clownfish
2” hippo tang
2” deserjidini sailfin tang

I trust my larger fish enough to not eat the smaller ones, they eat food 2x the size of the small ones daily. Never have they once gone after the smaller ones. It’s as if they’re missing their predatory drive…

Will two types of anthias fight in my tank?
And how do I prevent them from getting uronema?

IMO, i think its too late for your tank to add Anthias.

Your Tangs will slaughter every last new addition in the tank, and seeing your beautiful collection of tangs, if your tank mates are all happy, PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING.

You cannot prevent new anthias from carrying in uronema., but you can prevent it from getting into your tank by doing QT. I don’t keep groups anymore like I used to, but I had uronema problems in about a third of new anthias orders.

The square, particularly the male, is a very twitchy fish and I’d agree that it’s likely too late given your current fish population. Lyretails might work, particularly if you get a group of females.
