Budget? Tank dimensions? Personal aesthetics for inside like bluer or whiter light and outside for tank mounting options? What type of tank (full sps or mixed or softy, etc)
Guess that will help huh.
Current 55 tank is 48x21x14

Budget preferably less than 300. Don't really want hanging light.
Mixed reef.

For 300, non hanging . Prob 2 smatfarm led fixtures or similar. Noopsyche is a little over 300 for 2.
I did look at noopsyche but hearing a lot of issues with them lately.

I still may go that route and hope for the best.

Thanks for the response!

If you can find the K7 Pro II or the K7 V3 they're great for me! They'd be used though.

That is the one I was considering was the K7 Pro II
It should work for yours. They're 90 watt instead of the 140s like the V3 and Pro III but the par is higher because the lenses are more focused I believe. That said it also means the spread will be less.

I'm leaning toward this route and getting two of them.

I am getting ready to upgrade to the 55Gallon. I currently use an Ocean Revive on the 38. What is the best option to use on the 55?
What is the depth of your current tank and what is the depth of the 55?

If the depths are the same, and you're happy with the growth you get with the current light, you'll probably be happy with the results in the 55.

In lighting, you need Penetration and Spread.

Penetration is a light's ability to provide ample PAR at the tank bottom. Spread is the area that the light covers at the tank bottom.

The current tank is a bow front, so pretty deep, one reason I hate it.
