Help finding lamp for an anemone tank

Hey guys i am looking for a LED for my 32 x 24 x 16 Inch Tank. It will be purely anemone and lps.

But I am having trouble finding a proper lamp for the surface. Most lamps I looked at, illuminating the whole surface, I think are totally overpowered.

E.G ATI Straton will illuminate the tank nicely but has way to much power for anomenes. Radion XR 15 has a nice power output but it’s surface illumination is a tad to small.

Whats the best lamp that comes to your mind for this tank ?

So far I settled with these lamps

• AquaIllumination Hydra 32HD 450€ 95Watt 60x60cm
• Radion XR15 G6 (PRO/BLUE) 499€ 95Watt 61x76cm
• Reef Factory Reef Flare M 735€ 160Watt 80x70cm
• ATI Straton 999€ 240Watt 80x70cm
• 2 x Kessil A160 273€ total 80Watt 2x 60x60cm + Controller 99€ (645€)
• 2 x Maxspect MJ-L165 ?€ total 130 Watt

My favorite is the XR15 as she illuminated 24-30 inch according to Radion. Does anyone have an opinion on how good the edge illumination on this lamp really is ?

Have a nice weekend :)

You are probably right. But at the moment I am, at least, trying to be reasonable. As I know the XR30 would have way to much power …. On the other hand I really have problems, finding a lamp illuminating all of the tank which isn’t totally overpowered.

There’s picture of my current setup, although it’s not a good one. I have a lot of Crassa’s and Quadricolor. And long term won’t have anything else besides some Zoa’s rocks or other anemone species. Lighting is a DIY wich is quite powerfull as well, as I build it for sps in mind. But I am looking for something more compact.

24x36 is going to be hard to light with any single puck style light. You're either going to have to go with a larger light and turn it down, or look into multiple smaller lights. What about something like the ReefBreeders (or whatever the equivalent light is where you are)? If you got it up high enough it would probably serve the purpose, and it'd be half the price of an XR30 or Sky.

You could do it with 2 Hydra 32HDs probably. Two XR15s, maybe?

Two AI Prime if you want to stick with brand names.

If not, two 50w - 90w LEDs from Amazon will save you tons of money. Nicrew or SmatFarm are highly rated.

I would try the Orphek atlantik Icon. I have the compact with 1 led bar on a 30" by 24" but I would say that is the max for that size. Alternatively, the compact with 2 led bars mounted width wise (24") would work as well. They are whiter in spectrum when at 100% compared to ecotech or ai.
