Hey guys! A friend sold me what he believed was a mini maxi, but after now seeing it face to face i really think it’s a haddoni. It’s small, maybe 10cm across? But the tentacle length and shape really doesn’t strike me as mini maxi:).

I’ll attach the photos. Foot is a grey colour, no spots or anything.

I agree that it is likely a Haddoni. Maxi-minit has the outermost roll of tentacles longer, about twice as long, than the rest of the tentacles.

This anemone looks like a Haddoni carpet also, not an Adhesive anemone.

I thought so too at the start but the foot has red specles all over it. There is no visible space where there are no tentacles around the mouth either.

interesting. that got to be a tiny anemone. Looking at it closer, the tentacles on the outer ring are different, both color and size. Quick glance it looks like a Haddoni but you, looking at it, would be able to tell and much more accurate than I can with just 1 photo.

My thoughts exactly. The tentacles around the outermost edge was the giveaway for me

Thanks @OrionN it’s currently in my waterbox 20. Do they grow fairly quick with lighting alone, or can I keep it for a while if I only allow it to feed via photosynthesis? I do like it and would like to keep it for a while, especially as my tank is nem only

I
So what ? I live in the NE US ...and get plenty of australian imports here...get my drift ?
I do. Which would be plausible if Australia didn’t have bans on coral and invert importation from the entire world. We can only import fish here, not corals/inverts/all other stuff. Even macros are illegal
