Ammonia spike and Goni looks rough

I recently had an anemone and a good size turbo die and unfortunately it was in the tank over night. Ammonia went from .07 to .96 and I immediately did a water change of about 13 gallons in my 36 gallon. Next day Ammonia dropped to .47 so I performed a 15 gallon water change. Ammonia is currently at .14 and all parameters with the exception of ammonia are stable. One of my once thriving goni frags has closed up for most of the day and the skeleton almost looks slightly fluffy. Opinion if you think it'll bounce back or if it's a goner.

Give it some time, your others have good polyp extension. They are finicky and can close up for awhile and then suddenly open and look happy!

Your other 2 Gino’s are fine so I doubt the ammonia spike bothered it or the others would be upset too.

That level of ammonia will not cause distress to coral.
Corals prefer ammonia as a food source.

Just be patient with fixing anything in your tank. You don’t want to start drastically doing fixes for your tank just to help one coral. Be patient, and slowly do fixes.
