this isn’t total blasphemy or wrong as I got loads of hydro experience, and algae does use a lot of the red wavelength …
but white is a composite color and adjusting it down doesn’t just tune down the part algae likes…besides it has no problem growing under blue light anyway …
I guess my analogy is targeting light as a solution is missing the root cause
I agree there may be other factors contributing to the bloom and light may or may not be but there is a reason most of the big name vendors run programs with lower percentage of white light versus blue and uv which typically run at 100% intensity.

Do you have any recommendations for a product?
If you have a reactor you can run it with gfo or Phosguard

If you don’t have a reactor you can buy those items in pouch form and put them in an area where water will flow through them

Chemipure elite contains carbon and gfo and would help with phosphates.

Phosguard pouches can be bought also

I think the big name vendors do whatever will sell, it’s not an absolute given what they are selling is optimal …

But to your point I do adjust the white channel down daily anyway…so I don’t think doing so temporarily will cause the corals to shrivel up and die, but as dumb as it sounds I think they adjust better to intensity variables than wavelength variables…And also At risk of looking foolish, I also think corals actually get into routines…

But Yeah I didn’t mean to left turn the OPs original post but I do think this could be a worthwhile expanded discussion…
