Hey everybody,

I know this question has been asked lots, but unfortunately I just can’t seem to find any answers that I feel could help my situation.

I have had an AI prime 16HD mounted about 9 inches from the surface of the water, and there is a photo of my light settings. I’m running saxby’s schedule but I’ve been changing the output a bit.

I have a few things in my tank that seems to be doing great. My GSP, Xenia and Duncan are growing like weeds, and my hammer has gone from 2 heads and is now splitting into its 4th head, but it seems all my zoas are almost melting, and looking way worse than at my lfs. I’ve changed the placement in the tank but not seeming to have any luck.

Any tips or suggestions on how I should tweak my lighting to best suffice my coral. I plan on starting SPS once I feel confident in my lighting schedule and settings. My perams aren’t my concern, I’m disciplined in that aspect and do weekly 4 gallon water changes.

Any lighting tips?

Thanks in advance!

Mayby they get more light then they like? I also have AI Prime 16 Hd but in a 55 cm deep aquarium (2 fixtures on my Armantus 375 XD) and mounted approx 30 cm above waterlevel. I run the BRS recommended schedule but a bit tuned downed to also around 40 W of output. I keep most of my zoas at the sandbed and they have been growing fine.
