Hi Guys,

Currently trying to find what lights to run over my 4ft 85G, I was just wondering what people experiences are with the blades, i'm considering getting 1x Grow and 1x Glow.

any other suggestions for lights are welcome. i only plan to run an lps/softies tank. and ideally want the lights to be controlled through my phone.

cheers

I have a pair of XR30s on my 4 ft 75 gallon and get really good growth from pretty much everything in my tank. I would definetly buy used if you go this route.

But from what I've seen the Blades seem like decent lights. Fragbox corals uses them on some of their tanks. They have a video or two posted about them if you're curious.

Those are nano lights I have one on my Waterbox 15 and for a 48” you will need 3-4. And still wouldn’t give you as good performance as a larger light. You would need to turn up high and then you get melted lenses. For my 15g I need to run them at 80% already and melted a lens.

XR30 pair is a good choice. I like my reefbreeders photon 48 over my 75g. I like a single slim modern fixture, and the matrix layout to eliminate shadowing
