Trying to decide which supplemental bar to use to reduce shadowing alongside my A500x.

Not considering visual appeal, which has the better overall combination of spectrum and spread for this combo? XHO 50/50 or the AI blade grow?

Tank will be mixed - SPS heavy.

Thanks for the input - coming from you, i think I'll go ahead and make the switch. I'll still keep my actinic blues for the outer space look when I'm in the mood, but the Blades and the A500X running full color during the day will do the heavy lifting.

2 x 48" Grows ok for a 58"x24"x20" display?

Hey Nate! I would use the AI Blades, and since they are a supplement I’d go for the Glows over the grows. They give amazing color and spread, and even enough par for themselves as a main light.

The Grows can go blue if you just run the blue and royal blue LEDs. If you want more pop, the Glow and violet LEDs is a great way to go. I just hope the next version of Blade Glow has more violets and less royal blue LEDs
