so i currently have a 100g tank cycling and the ammonias have reached 0 and the nitrites are spiking, nitrates are moving up. i am just curious on when i can add corals and if there would be any problems in adding something like a leather coral or zoas, i dont plan on doing anything until the tank is cycled and stable before adding any sort of coral/livestock but just curious on what the problem with adding corals to an un cycled/ half cycled saltwater tank.

clowns, leathers and zoas are all real hardy, so you shouldn't have a problem adding them now. the leathers and zoas would appreciate some nitrates though so they might not be super happy until you get the nitrates up, but i doubt you'll kill them because of low nitrates. good luck.
