Differences in lighting, tank conditions, and photography. He runs a ton of flow and mainly halides, I use only LEDs and shot it with an underwater camera. I know AV99 pretty well, see him at swaps several times per year, and I'm sure it's the same coral :)
I figured that I just can believe how much red the polyps bring through

TCK rainbow fusion pic?
It is similar to Fox Flame, but with a mix of different colors:

I only have that one small colony of it now, so I'm not really pushing sales of it. I sell it for $100 for ~3/4-1" frag when I offer it.

Here's an older photo of that piece. Rich deep blue skeleton with red/green polyps. Definitely one of the best millepora/prostrata in my opinion.

Any insight on growing this coral? I have a frag from Av99 and it has done virtually nothing growth wise in the almost year I have had it. Super stoked to see it gain any size though. Running triple AI 52 HD’s on a 180 with 4 tunzes and a gyre pump. Flow is rather high. Have it mounted about 8” below the surface. Lights are 12” overhead.

I have mine under Reefbreeders Photon v2, in medium high flow, and getting hit pretty hard with PAR around 650. I could not get it to grow at a lower PAR of 3-400. I've noticed a few of my millepora/prostrata that stagnated and went dormant did seem to start growing again when my alkalinity climbed over 9-9.5 dKH. Good luck!

Been recently battling low alk. That’s got to be it. With two 12 and 14” clams it’s been an SOB to maintain it. Just started dosing, automated style so hopefully I get some growth soon. Thanks!

Hi all,

Due to the unforeseen health issues I mentioned, I will not be able to make it to the CORA swap in December. I know a few of you were hoping to pick stuff up from me there. Send me a message if you want to arrange something in January, otherwise I do still hope to make it to the LEAR swap in Feb.

Thanks,
Tim

I just received my shipment from @therman and the corals are amazing! I gave him a price, number of corals, and very general guidance and let him design a pack for me. The corals he picked were amazing. It was a great value, and he even threw in a few extras. About 75% of the frag plugs were even fully encrusted. Therman is definitely highly recommended!!

2 weeks seems to be the sweet spot in my experience. Some things seem to ship poorly when well encrusted, others do poorly if fresh cut. Anywhere from 1-3+ weeks depending on the situation.

Hello!

How long do you typically like to let frags heal before shipping?

Thank you!

Do you do mystery packs? Like if I gave you a couple guiding items like # of frags I'm looking for and colors?

I'll be at the LEAR Fragfest if you want to order and pick up there in Feb.

I’d love to do that but I’m heading out of town for a couple weeks and won’t be able to attend Lear. If it’s ok with you maybe I’ll swing by and just pick them up I can even meet you somewhere so they don’t have to go through the shipping process.

Based on what I read do you cut to order then let them heal for a couple weeks. If so if I pick some now will they be ready end of Jan then

Yep, that works fine for me. Just send me a private message and we can work out the details.
