She is the kind of person I aspire to be. A rare gem who sparkled brighter than any other. I will keep her memory with me and keep her in my heart. Every day I will remind myself to be as positive and selfless as she was. Love you. Bubbles up.

This is very sad news. While I didn’t know Jen, I’m very happy that you guys were able to be there for each other. That’s what a great community does. I’m sure she was happier with you all in her life, and you are happier to have known her too. I offer condolences to her family and friends. May she rest in peace.

My condolences to the friends and family, I didn't personally know her but reading everyone stories put a tear in my eyes. It warms my heart to see that our community come together and support one another through the tough times. Keep the reef warm for the rest of us up there..

So sad to hear about the loss of such a sweet woman. I didn’t have the pleasure of knowing her personally, but I know that she is an inspiration to us all. It’s a hard hit to lose such a beloved member of our community. She has impacted our community for the better, and for that I know we all are thankful.

My condolences to her family, and to all of you reefers who are blessed to call her a friend. May she rest in love. :pleading-face:

She was admitted to the hospital because she was having difficulty breathing. The cancer she had been battling for 10 years had metastasized to her lungs, liver, spine and femur. I asked for an update and she told me she was being transferred to Hospice and wouldn’t be leaving. She asked if we could FaceTime which we did. We laughed and there were tears and we laughed a lot more. I last talked with her Wednesday onFaceTime for a long time, only laughs. I didn’t think that would be the last time we spoke.

Tonya and I spoke with Jennifer last on Wednesday and then via text on Thursday.

We talked about faith, and her belief in Jesus. We talked about Heaven and how when she closes her eyes here on earth that she would open them in Heaven and how when she took her last breath here on earth that her next breath would be the air of Heaven.

She was ready. Not ready to leave the ones she loved, but ready to go to eternity. She had made her peace with God.

She will be missed greatly and the impact she had on us here will leave a legacy of love for one another. I’m praying for you all in this time and if you need to talk just shoot me a DM.

We love you @ESABOE! Enjoy Heaven!

I want to take a chance to share my short period of time I got with Jen. When I figured out Jen was the grand prize winner I was so excited, and I remember chatting with her on the phone leading up to the experience a lot about how this all would work with her limited mobility; I knew in my heart I was going to find every way possible to give her the experience she deserved, and that any normal visitor at our store would receive. Every single person deserves this treatment, just maybe minus the shopping spree..

When we had her on site the entire team was elated to meet her, connect with her, and show her all that we offer at @TopShelfAquatics . From the outside looking in, a lot of people may see TSA as a big dog in the game and we are out to sell corals and dry goods and make our money, but in reality this place and everyone that works here has such a passion for this industry and all the individuals involved in it. We are all hobbyists like every single one of you. That was one thing Jen and I spoke about a lot leading into her final days. She wanted everyone to know just how much she appreciated everyone at Top Shelf, and what we stood for. She always had a better way with words and would've said it better herself and made a point to say it multiple times on her thread.

After the experience I took the time to take Jen and my family out to dinner. We laughed, we cried, and we shared ideas of how I can be not just a better reefer but man in this industry. I can't explain how thankful I am to be able to have met Jen, I told her daughter she touched so many lives and I was just a single person that she touched. I want to say thank you to Jen for being Jen; she was such an awesome person.

This thread is a great space to share memories and remind ourselves how frail life is. I send love to every single one of you on this platform and remind you all to take a minute and tell someone you love them today.

Happy Reefing from myself and all the rest of us at Top Shelf Aquatics. Enjoy the big reef tank in the sky @ESABOE
