A tribute/remembrance of our fallen hero, @Esaboe ( Jennifer)

With great sadness I’m starting this thread as a tribute and to allow people to share their memories of @ESABOE who passed away at Hospice in her sleep early Monday morning. I’m so glad I got to be considered a friend of hers for what time she had left on this earth. For those that only know her a little she became a member here and started her reefing journey last October. Her time on here she was constantly in pain and undergoing chemotherapy and radiation although you wouldn’t know it because she never revealed much or complained. Instead she was on here daily being positive, encouraging, sharing her humor and wisdom. I think that is why were shocked ot her sudden passing. This is part 1 from me.

She was admitted to the hospital because she was having difficulty breathing. The cancer she had been battling for 10 years had metastasized to her lungs, liver, spine and femur. I asked for an update and she told me she was being transferred to Hospice and wouldn’t be leaving. She asked if we could FaceTime which we did. We laughed and there were tears and we laughed a lot more. I last talked with her Wednesday onFaceTime for a long time, only laughs. I didn’t think that would be the last time we spoke.

ahh this just makes me want to crawl in a hole and cry. i loved all her updates. she always sounded so thrilled with anything that had to do with her tank. and such a fast learner! she leaves me in the dust! i dont have any pictures. she seemed to get so much joy from things.

Jennifer and I met on @00W's aquarium showcase in April of this year. From the little time I knew her, she was an amazing friend. She was so strong I didn't even realize she was sick until a month after meeting her. She was such a great friend. I went through a rough period of my life where both of my dogs got sick and died within a month of eachother in late May to early June. I was heart broken. She made me feel so loved. She was a great friend. I wish I would've met her earlier. Jennifer, you will be missed.

Wow what a kick in the gut. I just started following her tsa thread right before she went and her tank thread. Very sad.

Not a year into reefing and she accomplished so much more than most! Earlier this year she she won the Top Shelf Aquatics $1000 giveaway, flight, hotel and $1000 in corals. She was walking on air! The people at TSA treated her like royalty, thank you @TopShelfAquatics . Not long ago she received her excellence badge. These badges aren’t handed out willy nilly, she had to be the first to be awarded one in the short time she was on here. I know @revhtree had gave her a lot of comfort and this thread was his idea for everyone to share your memories. Thanks for all the support from everyone at #S#SmorgasbordFamilyand all you good people at her build thread. I know she is looking down from heaven right now smiling, rest in peace Jennifer!

Thank you so incredibly much @TopShelfAquatics and @BlaineTopShelfAquatics. You guys treated her so well. She loved that trip so much. It made her so happy.

Although we did not know each other for a long time and I did not have the joy of personally meeting that brave woman whom I feel so lucky to be able to call a friend, this has hurt me a lot and it will hurt, from the first moment we spoke she treated me as if I I had known her all my life, thanks to her who encouraged me to make my build thread, including the first paragraph that appears, she was the one who wrote it because the one I sent her had many errors and we spent that night writing it and laughing all the time. That was Jennifer, a woman who, despite having the situation she had, always helped everyone and was always smiling and happy, I'm going to miss you Big Sis

I really don't know where to start this. She was such an amazing kind person. She was so excited and happy she cried when I called her to let her know she won the trip since she had not been online that day. She was an inspiration with how she was always so strong and positive even with all the pain she was dealing with. She touched so many lives here and will be greatly missed.

We talked about a lot of things together.
This whole thing has saddened me greatly.

Spoke with Jennifer Fri morning ,we laughed and joked,she was in good spirit ,never thought it would be the last time we spoke .

She was so kind, she sent some of us boxes with goodies in it. That included baked goods, stickers and notes. This was out of her own kindness, time and money. We will miss you so much Jen. Stay salty.
