Thankyou Jomama, it’s gone through some trials and tribulations in the last year, but getting on the right track now... folllowing a lot of advice for you all on here..

Thankyou so much... I do love my fish but get just as much pleasure watching the critters... it’s funny to see the hermits cleaning the conches... they have never hurt one yet either.. I do think his eyes bulge a little thinking get the f*** off me

Bought a little heliofungia coral today, never had one of these before, it seems to be settling in well

Yes I really am a fish geek, I got lucky today .. the bottom drain on one of my koi ponds was blocked, I was fully anticipating a swim and a snorkel... I thought I’d try to feed a karcher pressure washer drain cleaning attachment into the bottom drain, it was a bit fiddly but managed to get it into the drain, not bad considering the ponds nearly 6 foot deep! and Voila... success. An enormous amount of fish poo and god knows what is now making my seize and bead filter work overtime... should be all clear again in a few days

And a follow up question since I'm at it...
I'm considering a tank upgrade to a similar size, 72*30*24 is my thought right now. Are you happy with the size?

Sorry been ages since I updated, I’ve been having a battle with high nitrates that I’m just about winning now, Unfortunately i lost a couple of colonies in the process.. my SPS are starting to colour up a little better now thankfully. Thankyou, no issues so far with sex changes... one sad thing my male melanarus hit the brace bar and broke his back and died. Here’s the current list, I have 2 more on my to get list a Jordani and linatus. Then I’m about wrasses out I think... to me the f-b depth adds so much to a tank, If I had the space and money I’d get 4 or 5 foot.. you will be delighted with your upgrade size imo.

I gotta hand it to you sir, after the losses you incurred I think a lot of people would have called it done and walked away. You persevered and now have a great looking reef . The fish selection is outstanding too.

Thank you JMM, it was a challenging time, but leaving the hobby never entered my mind, when you have kept fish as long as I have, it becomes part of your life...
