I finally have the cube I have always wanted up and running. Took me a few weeks to get everything setup and transferred. And dang was this a project. I upgraded from a 60gal cube that wasn't quite what I wanted, the internal overflow took up too much space and I just could not create the look I wanted with the aquascape. On top of this I have had hydroids in my tank for about 6 years and I was done with them. So here are some pics of the process of putting up this cube
The tank. I originally purchased the glass to build this exact size tank myself. I added a piece of 1/4" glass as a eurobrace on the bottom panel and glued the tank together. Unfortunately there was some air trapped somewhere between the bottom panel and the eurobrace and this emerged as bubbles in my seam. While we were taking the tank apart, 1" of the corner snapped on the front panel. So I put it all away for another day and bought this
The light. I won this from Aqua Medic on Facebook. This is a really great light!
Here you can see my tank area. The 60gal is where the 93 will go. The 27gal on the left is holding the last of my corals and rocks that still have hydroids, the 40B has all of my hydroid free corals and rocks as well as my 5 fish.
