This is my 93 gallon Marineland Cube build thread. This will be my first drilled tank. I've had a 29 gallon Biocube and 14 gallon Nanocube for years. Now it's time to try something a little bigger. I'm debating whether or not to paint the stand black. I'm in the process of collecting equipment now for the build.

That's an older tank from Marineland as they don't make the plastic rim braced tank any longer. Make sure to inspect the seals and the overflow seal prior to adding water. On the bottom there should be a sticker with a Mfg date or up under the plastic rim.

Matter of fact in the picture you can see the sticker under the plastic rim. Beautiful tank, I have one also that I am going to re-seal and use down the road. Good luck!

Manufacture date is 2012. All seals look good. Thanks for the advice.

Collected all the parts needed for the build. I will be putting it together in the next couple weeks. I'll post build pics when I do.

I'm a little behind on posting pics of the build.

Got my sump built a few weeks back. The front left section is where my Skimmer will sit. The front right will be my refugium.

Also painted my stand black.

I put it all together in the garage and filled to test the plumbing.

Got my Screen top built. Looks like it should work well.

I'll be moving everything inside this weekend and starting my cycle. Hopefully everything goes smooth as planned.

Filled the tank and added Fritz9 this weekend.

Also added some live rocks to my sump from my Nano tank. Hoping that will help with the cycle too.

IMG_4920.JPG

Tested the water the next day after adding Fritz9
Salinity - 1.025
PH - 8.2
Ammonia - 0.25
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 0

Tank was testing 0 on Ammonia, Nitrite and Nitrate at Day 5 of cycle. That Fritz9 works really well IMO. Added the cleanup crew after my diatoms showed up and everything seems to be doing good.
