Everyone is in the tank. Corals are already opening up. Fish are out and exploring. No ammonia issues (as expected)!

Everyone seems happy today. Corals are out, and fish are out and eating. Water has stayed crystal clear.

Ammonia has stayed essentially non-existent.

Added 6 Mexican hermits and 6 Margarita Snails to join LSB Urchin. Also added Coral Banded Shrimp.

Looking for some Peppermint shrimp to try and help with Aptasia control and possibly a cleaner shrimp too.

Also got some fresh oysters and shrimp from grocery store and fed one oyster and shrimp at lights on. Crew went wild for it!

Paul says that really helps his fish become immune, makes me want to try grinding up some for my pico
Exactly why I did it. Really want to wean off of flakes and on to high quality fresh food. It makes total since that the processed food does not serve our animals best just like it does not serve us best!

Had a scare with the tank, but seems to probably be a false reading. Everyone is happy and healthy!

Thought I’d post an update. Tank is running smoothly. Unfortunately, the Coral Beautly died unexpectedly. No symptoms, so guessing old age.

I’ve added a few fish to the tank, and really enjoying it. Also, I’ve order 2 PopBloom RS90’s to replace the lighting and take better care of the corals.

Enjoy the pictures.

Changes:
Replaced lighting with 2 PopBloom RS90’s. Just finished acclimation run. Limiting lights to 75% Max.

Cleaned out sump on Sunday and did a 10-15 gallon water change as part of it. Skimmer, heater, temp probe all soaked in citric acid bath to clean. Moved refuge to first compartment and skimmer to second.

Nitrates and Phosphate are high so also added bio pellet rector prior owner used about 1 week ago. Pulls from return compartment and dumps in skimmer section so it does not compete with Chaeto.

Monday I changed skimmer to pull from outside. Have a ~20 ft run to window. Skimmer line to 3/8 line to 1/2 line. pH much more stable now and running 8.1-8.3 so far!

Here are some pics. (Hairy rock moved up from sump).
