I have been running an Avast Marine Plank auto feeder ~3 times/day with their reef jerky, I sprinkle in small amounts of flakes occssionally and some frozen mysis in the evenings. I try to do a little, more often, rather than a lot, less often..

The Plank Feeder is a nice little unit, but spendy. Requires external timer control, I use a Kasa smart plug. I do have to clean it regularly in the DT as it can get clogged with algae fairly easily, would love to have a sump the throw it in the return chamber..

Auto feeders & auto top offs are my favorite things.. ;)
how has the plank been working on just the smart plug? I just picked one up and have not seen anyone else running one on only a smart plug.

I have mine on a Kasa style plug. I run 1 minute daily and keep the Sicce running all day.

The Kasa smart plug has worked great! No issues, been running it a few years. I run 1 minutes intervals a few times per day, depends on your bio load. I start the pump 2 mins later to allow some soak, and run for 20, but have been thinking about bumping that up more or just let it run 24/7. Would recommend, great alternative for those not running full system controllers :kissing-face-with-closed-eyes:

Awesome. Glad to hear success with it. After digging around I found an app that will let me control it with seconds. Hopefully it will work out for my nano tank

Nice, interested to hear how that works out! That's the only drawback on the Kasa I can see, 1 minute minimums, I wouldn't mind feeding something like 15 sec/hr type of thing as well, but this works just fine for me and this tank. Report back later!

Hope everyone had a good 4th!

Here in AK, we celebrate by launching cars off a cliff. Fantastic annual tradition by the folks over in Glacier View.

Search "Glacier View Car Launch"

Ok I gotta go search that now :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

$14 electric brush flawless after 5+ underwater runs :kissing-face-with-closed-eyes:

WC, clean glass club, moved torch off the rack finally, sprinkled 2 discs of Rhodactis around.

Add some orange filter for fun.

Single tear brought to my eye in this moment.
