Let me start by saying I love cube tanks. The depth gives such dimension that you can't get with long, narrow tanks. I have had many cubes along the way. In 2011 I had my dream cube of a 240 cube. 48x48x24 was amazing and though I'm not in a position to have such a large cube this time I hope to make this a good substitute.
I have a 24x24x30 this time. Solid walnut stand and canopy. I'm using a Viparspectra 165watt LED light and a Kessil Tuna blue. Sump is a little eShopps RS75 and S120 skimmer. Return pump is a Jebao 6500 DC and a Herbie overflow. It is silent. Wave pump is a SLW20 Sine wave pump. Dosing and topoff are still being worked out. Probably use a 2 part doser for calc and alk.
Anyway, this is my start after a 2 year break with no tank at all.

Oh. I tend to like SPS and LPS corals and leopard wrasses. Taking it slow for now.

Added a few ORA corals today. Jedi Mind Trick, Setosa, purple tip green acro, Forest Fire, pink polyp monti, tricolor pocillipora. And I got a baby yellow mimic tang.

Added a second Jebao SLW-20 wave pump and a magnet branch rock from AquaRocks. Coral polyp extension is absolutely better with the addition of more flow.
