I have a 70 watt and a 150 watt Viper DE HQI metal halide fixtures for sale if interested. Both work perfectly, barely used. Just sitting on my equipment shelf. I keep thinking I'll use them, hard to let my old halide stuff go, but the need hasn't arisen, so they can go.

Not a whole lot of options here... Either buy something nice used, look for halogen flood light with rx7 base, or bend some metal and make a reflector.

I used to run a 70 watt mh on a nanoncube back in the day. It was perfect for that small tank but that was probably the largest size tank I would use it on. I would consider going the 150 watt route. How deep down is the clam?

70w halide doesn't put out that much light, 150w would work on a nano, but still quite weak. How big is the tank? Also, the gigas will outgrow that light/bulb in no time, then it will get that fixture nice and wet. :p

It more to highlight the clam.

Gotcha. Btw, I tried that brand of bulbs for my 250w fixtures, they were okay, but didn't last long and their color shifted a little bit. I would look for a used Kessil 360x and use their 35 degree lens, that would give you some extra power and really highlight the clam itself. I would choose a bulb that aqua bright solutions have in stock over that brand. If I still lived in Ohio, I would give you an old 150w de fixture. I would look for 150w bulbs, as you'll have better luck finding quality bulbs. Aqua Bright Solutions

Is that viper the clamp on one with a fan?

No, its the K2 version like this:
You have me a trip down memory lane. The 150w viper with the fans were the first lights I used…on my first reef 20ish years ago. They were K2 Deluxe

Info on Both is here

Yep! I have held onto the 70 watt and 150 watt versions.
