i Think the 7in would work better as it will allow both drains to go into one sock. Sorry I didn’t think of that at first. Now just let me brainstorm on how I can keep the socks attached to the bracket you build.

I could design a double 4” sock holder?
Maybe I don’t understand what you’re trying todo.

7in is better. My socks are 7in. I upgraded from the 4in and Have t accepted it mentally yet so I misspoke.
here is a picture of one of my socks. See how it doesn’t have the plastic ring in it? I need a way to make the sock fit form into your bracket.
maybe your 7 inch bracket with a “disc” that is removable and can be put in the neck of my sock then back into your bracket. The disc could have large holes (or just 1 large hole) for the water flow.

ahh yes. I see now. Yes, a ring that would be compressed between and the holder would do the trick.
So your sump looks like a fish tank not a stock tank so You'll want the second sock holder (this one right?)

Think I have something that'll work for rimless socks now:
7inchSockholder.jpg7inchSockCollar.jpg

You'll be able to wedge this and a sock into the holder in theory...
I can send a few versions/sizes of the insert. As long as you can open your socks to 7" around this should work. The opening in the holder is 6.625" (~6-5/8").

ok, I've revised the listing on EBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/234507894002
Because this is a tester and you may get another, offer $17 instead of $25 and I'll get it on its way.
added image with Dims too:

I've only tested it on a 150 gallon. I am sure it'll probably fit a 100 gallon; I just dont know the rim size. if its 2" or under it'll work.

the Hook will go over 2-1/4" rounded edges. If you have a typical fish tank, I have a different sock holder for those.

cool! I'll print right away. what color do you want? some have better print quality then others.
the red one is ready to go; just needs the collar; but I can get a black one one Monday or Tuesday.
I can also get whatever color your interested in.

I'm putting in two sock retaining rings of different sizes.
Let me know if they work; if not, include some photos of what is wrong with them so I can design something that will work for you!
I am hopeful one will be the perfect size to compress your socks into the ring.

Also, if the ring hangs down too far on the 100 gallon stock tank send me photos so I can redesign and reprint.

@biecacka Have you gotten the filter sock holder yet? How do the rings work? Can you send a few photos? I am interested to see if it needs modifications for a 100 galloon stock tank.
Thanks!
