I am just getting back into the hobby after a about a decade hiatus with a new 250 mixed reef. I'd love to master the techniques of flow and lighting in a mixed reef environment.

I have a seven foot long tank. My current plan is to put high flow/light corals on the left side and lower flow/light corals on the right side while using MP40s on the back of the tank on the left side to increase flow. I also have my four fixtures programed independently to provide more par on the left side than the right.

My over all flow is more of a flushing current where there are Gyres pushing one way across the top with MP40s pushing the other way across the bottom on an alternating cycle.

I have no idea if this is going to work as my actual experience is very outdated.
