I want to run lights that can support any acro and any sps but can help any sand corals or low lights to also grow and im wondering how many redsea 90 do i need and what schedule to run them at. I like the evening to have a full blue affect.

You would need 4 and that’s if the tank is 20” front to back. at almost 400$ each I would look into something elseI want to run lights that can support any acro and any sps but can help any sand corals or low lights to also grow and im wondering how many redsea 90 do i need and what schedule to run them at. Any way i could go noopsyche k7 pro 3 or popbloom rl90 for the shimmer. Im going for a oldschool 2010 ish build and want to grow sps and keep a bunch of tangs in a 6ft but the led i want to be chinese ish as i prefer that price point moreYou would need 4 and that’s if the tank is 20” front to back. at almost 400$ each I would look into something else
Two reef breeders photon 32 v2 are about the same price and would cover 72x24 for sps. The photon is also superior imo compared to the Red Sea leds.
Currently you can get 4 rl90's for $550.Any way i could go noopsyche k7 pro 3 or popbloom rl90 for the shimmer. Im going for a oldschool 2010 ish build and want to grow sps and keep a bunch of tangs in a 6ft but the led i want to be chinese ish as i prefer that price point more
This is the PopBloom Turing RS90 that @ariceneo was kind enough to send along for testing. Since I had previously looked at the $365 Red Sea ReefLED 90, I was interested in this $340 for TWO from AliExpress option.....Long story short, best spread of any budget light I’ve tested, a sub-optimal spectrum, and expected PAR for a 90W class light.
I didn’t realize there was a cloneNot the red sea...but the clone.
AgreeI didn’t realize there was a clone
I still would recommend reefbreeders, reefi uno, or noopsyche over the pop bloom / rs90
I have 5 xr15 g6 blue on my 6x2x2(ft) tank and i can tell you they are maxed out its not enough. I either need to put 5 more and then dial down or go with different lights.
I will beputting 5 more I want to space them out a little, but I agree that should be xr30s. But all these companies misinform people that xr15 is enough. It is not!Sorry for whatever misinformation led you on this path, but for a tank that size and g6…xr30 is recommended. Either way it adds up.
Maybe you can supplement led bars so your initial investment isn’t lost
