hello! I'm really excited to share my journey of returning to this wonderful hobby. Ive been in and around this hobby for 23+ years, but have been without a tank for about 10 years now. I started with a 55 gallon in 1994, and moved up to a 220 gallon which I maintained for 11 years before having to give them up due to my living situation.
Recently I picked up my 60 cube from a local reefer for a great price, and have been gathering equipment.

60 gallon rimmed cube with stand
Skimz sumpro18 acrylic sump
Vertex omega130 skimmer
Maxspect gyre xf130
Ecotech Marine Radionxr30 pro G3
60+lbs dry rock

I'm still a couple weeks from getting it filled due to my work hours right now but it's not far off.
I look forward to sharing my experience with everyone.

More pictures to come soon

How do you like that sump? I'm gonna be setting up a 60g cube soon and been looking for a good sump.

So far I like it. It's very sturdy and has the features I was looking for in an 18" cube sump. The only downside is that there is only 2 compartments to it, so no refugium. The upside is that it doesn't limit you on skimmer options with such a large skimmer compartment.

Nice you can go with a large skimmer. I'm going to have to use a smaller one due to space requirements.

And disaster has struck. My tank has been cycling for the past week and just a few minutes ago i heard a crack and water falling. It cracked from the bulkhead down about 4 inches.
I guess it's time to look for a nice rimless model to set up. Although it sucks, I'm not gonna let this get me down. I have an IM lagoon 25 coming in a few days from a raffle I won so I'll focus on that while searching for another cube. I'll start a thread for it when it arrives.
As far as this thread, I'll just leave it at: to be continued...
