Good looking tank but im wondering if your green sinularia is actually green capnella ( green kenya tree)? My old green capnella for comparison with green nepthea behind it

Yeah -- not sure so just going by how the LFS had it labeled (but there's obviously room for error there).
*I don't know the difference but your picture looks the same as mine (to me anyway).

I've heard that Kenya Trees drop pieces that end up elsewhere but mine (whatever it is) has never done that in the 1.5 years that I've had it.

It is reported that the green variety does not drop branches for some people, but mine did, the brown polyps and thinner branch structure make me think capnella

Could be bad picture representation since:
- I'm color blind
- All of my pictures are just iPhone through yellow or orange filter

In this last picture of yours, the polyps look MUCH darker than how mine look (to me).
Anyway, I guess it is whatever it is and I like it.

This is why you shouldn't use cheapie power strips near an aquarium:

Power Strip Fire.jpeg

Just happened and luckily I was home so able to unplug it.
It's on a dedicated GFCI outlet used only for the aquarium, but it didn't trip.
It was on fire but got everything unplugged from it quickly with no permanent damage done, luckily.

Nothing really dripped onto/into it so I assume it was just moisture build-up over time on cheap/inadequate components.

Made it about 3 years in the same spot across two tanks,,, so not bad,,, until the end result,,, DOH!

My solo clownfish just started relentlessly ripping the tentacles off of my Duncan (from post #79) over the last 5 days.

I think the Duncan is a goner, at this point, but we'll see.

A little extra babble in this thread that I just found:
Clown Biting Duncan

EDIT -- later posted my own thread on this but nothing exciting has come from it (yet):
Clown Biting Off Duncan Tentacles

Been fighting an unexpected cyano outbreak (first time) for about a month.
Hopefully starting to get that under control.

My clownfish continues to bite the heck out of my duncan coral so kind of resigned to nothing I can do about it. (Clown was first fish so don't want to get rid of her).

The sinularia seemed to thicken up, looks great. The entire tank seems to be maturing up. Can't help you on the Cyano, other than being patient & try not to go crazy changing things on a fix.

That's pretty scary seeing the powerstip blackened like that. I'm glad no real harm was done! Your build thread is great! I intend to upgrade my 15g cube into a 40B sometime in the near future. Taking pointers and following
