I have a 40 gallon breeder with stand, hood, lights, and sump available. I upgraded to a larger tank and don’t need this one anymore.
The tank has a centered overflow with two 3/4” bulkheads drilled through the bottom and two 3/4” locline return jets to either side. The stand and hood are DIY, built in the style of the ReefBuilders tutorial () and painted with a high-quality marine enamel. I added two equipment cabinets to either side of the stand. The sump is a 20 gallon aquarium with a return chamber siliconed in place.
The hood comes with a 4” Reef Octopus fan installed for cooling and three light bars by Quanta Reef (https://www.quantareef.com, two ReefCrest Daylight and one Meso Blue). I really love these lights and this combo in particular. The resulting look is a great daylight spectrum that still has all the color and pop of blue lights. I was measuring about 350 PAR in the center of the tank.
I have included pictures of everything, and a couple of pictures of when the tank was up and running just for reference. You’ll need to provide your own plumbing between the tank and sump. I’m asking for $300 for the tank, stand, hood, lights, and sump. I can throw in a controllable SR Aquaristik 1000DC return pump (the actual pump I used on this tank with great results, and it’s in perfect condition), two Eheim Jaegger 75 watt heaters, and the ReefBreeders Prism ATO I used with this tank system for an extra $175. That’s a total cost of $475 for a complete system (except for plumbing between the tank and sump).
I’m in Madison, AL and accept cash or PayPal. Let me know if you have any questions.
