Figured I would document this tank as I never documented anything on my LPS 75 gallon.

Told the wife if the tank was still at New Wave Aquaria when we went Saturday that we would be buying it. Well... it was there so here goes.

System Profile:
  • Display tank: Eshopps DeskMate 4.8 Gallon AIO Aquarium
  • Mechanical filtration: Eshopps 2.75” Nano Filter Sock
  • Return pump: Sicce Micra Pump (90GPH)
  • Heating/cooling: Sicce Jolly 25 Watt Heater
Future upgrades:
  • VCA random flow generator
  • AI Prime 16HD with light shade

Before adding water, I went ahead and cut the grates for the overflow to allow more flow and added the 3d printed grate

Added some Fiji pink sand and threw together a rock structure using CaribSea life rock

Now the long park of waiting for the cycle...

I am planning to add a pair of clowns and mostly stick with mushrooms, zoas, and some other LPS.

Love the 3d printed grate!

Enjoy man...it's a great little tank! I've had mine setup for 6 months now, and really loving it! I'm finally in the thick of it with corals growing and everything thriving!

Great job getting an upgraded light with built in programming. I'd recommend one of the 3d baskets from Kraken Reef to use for filter floss (instead of the stock sock that comes with it), and a lid of sorts, either by Kraken or OctoAquatics.

Happy to help with any questions!

I love these little tanks!

No huge updates as of late... I have a kraken lid and the AI Prime 16HD on the way. I was throwing around different light options and just like the ease of the Prime over anything else.
I’m getting a Kraken lid as well. Should have it next Wednesday. I also am getting the Kessil A80 Tuna Blue. Since the tank is on my desk in the office, I didn’t want to risk having the noise from the fan on the 16HD.
