There was a California seafood restaurant that used to get the lobsters high before they boiled them up. They labeled it as the nice way to kill the lobster. I think they were forced to stop doing this.

Very easy way to write off a tank and your live stock. Simplistically form a 'for profit business venture'. Cost you couple hundred bucks to set up..but from that point on, everything is tax deductible as long as you have some sales. I was debating doing it this year given my investments..but decided not to given my job.

Well, If your boss is doing it at the bosses location, it can be easily included in office incidentals. Many doctors and dentists offices have fish tank as part of the decor. Part of doing business and thus tax deductible. My comments were for personal home tanks.

Tax disclosure here: There is a bit more too this. I am trying to avoid giving everyone sleepy, detailed rules to allow for these things.
