The aqua scape has been glued and cemented. Still is still touch up work to be done. Hope you like it.

Sweet build - definitely following along. Looks like you’re an engineer, victim of OCD, or both - extremely detailed and meticulous! :)
Thanks for the kind words!
OCD definitely... I have been planning this building since December of 2023. Had the whole thing planned out in my mind NOT. Creating the documentation uncovered flaws in the mental plan and I am still adding more details. The tank and sump won't be ready until the beginning of November.
Thanks for following along. Any input is appreciated

I went with the R.O 250 for my 200 gallon. I will also be using Ozone and have an ATS as well.
stocking mine now will be a FOWLR so you might be able to get away with the 150 + Ozone they are great skimmers.
and from what I hear Ozone is amazing and potent.

what are you using to controller Ozone?

welcome back it's still a fun hobby on the spendy side but enjoyable. :)
Based on a bunch of research I have decided to go with the Reef Octopus as well.

Fish selection - yes, definitely need the tang gang for algae control. I have most (if not all) those same fish in the 150g cube. The sailfin grew too fast so need to rehome him to the bigger tank soon. The Achilles Tang is very cool (one of my favs) but I did not have success with those Power Blue/Brown Tangs - they have been an ick magnet for me! The magnificent foxface is a must-have! I have that in the frag/lagoon tank - very friendly & stunning!

Unless you score big and the filefish will eat aiptasias, my go-to for aiptasia control is the butterfly fish (with caution). As you might already know, some do eat corals -- I have 4 of them and they don't eat my softies.

The tank location is being changed. Moving the bar to where the tank was originally planned and the tank in its place. This will give me a straight shot to the basement with no 90s

P.S. My Tank Thread link was just pointing to the main category. It is fixed now

Loving everything about this build and the amount of planning that has gone into each detail. I didn't realize the Coralvue controllers had so many capabilities. Will have to research that more. Getting ready to hop back in the hobby after a 10 year break and having previously worked in the aquarium industry myself when I was younger.

This build thread is unreal. Super detailed. I love it… it helps calm my engineering mind lol.

Tagging along. This build looks awesome. Good luck!!
Thank you for the kind words!

I definitely didn’t have everything planned out from the start. What I originally envisioned has evolved quite a bit, and even some of the things I’ve posted have changed since then. Once I finalize everything, I’ll be sure to update.

Things are starting to come together now, though. The construction work should be wrapped up in the next two weeks. I’ve been buying equipment as I find deals, but it looks like MAP pricing is something I won’t be able to get around. Lumber for the basement sump and quarantine tank arrives tomorrow, so it’s time to get moving!

What a great build and a fantastic find for me! Selfish, yes. lol. I just ordered a 72x30x26 from GC and plan to use almost the exact same equipment... Those figures for the Hydros will be duplicated by me if you don't mind. I have a guy I that I plan to have help me with my build. We are building a house and plan to install the tank in late Nov. early Dec. So I will be following along with your thread, thanks for the fantastic details!!!!!
