Well, I've been working on this almost a year and finally got my 20G long frag tank up and going. Most of the time was spent building the stand. I used 2x4 and 2x6 frame with pine finish sides, top, and trim this time (it cost half what red oak does). The the rest of the delay was while it set around a few months waiting for me to finish staining and finishing it. It's been set up and running about 10 days with a 2-pound chunk of live rock. Ammonia is still 0.5 ppm so it isn't quite ready yet. I have two HOB filters (one with sponge and one for carbon), 4xT5HO bulbs, and a titanium heater (with external thermostat). Here is a photo. More to follow as more interesting stuff develops. Feel free to offer advice.

That's just black eggcrate that I cut out some PVC to support. I made it two pieces so I could clean under half while leaving the other half undisturbed.

Looks good. I just got my 20L frag tank up the other day too. I plumbed it into my system so it's really not any more work, waterchanges and stuff.

One thing I did different from yours is I made the rack smaller, so that I havve about 4" all the way around it, so that I can reach under it, slide it around and stuff...for cleaning purposes. It's up to you how you do yours, but having the egg crate the full size of the tank will make it impossible to clean under it without removing the whole thing. An idea just came to mind:

If you cut your rack in half, add 2 legs in the middle so it's 2 separate racks, when it's time to clean under, you can stack one on the other to clean each side...and eleminate having to take any of the frags out of the water.
