I’ll be carving on Sunday but I’m preposterously untalented when attempting anything artistic. I may give something reef-based a shot but it’s also possible I’ll stick with the Halloween basics. I’ll post if I can manage something that isn’t completely embarrassing.

Tried to go for a blue-ringed octopus; one of my favorite ocean creatures to view. Didn’t do the real thing justice but I’m happy with the effort. Free hand drew the outline and had to use a permanent marker so there’s a couple stray marks but I think it looks pretty great in the dark.

May be carving a second out tomorrow, my first has began to rot so I wanted a fresher one for outside as well. I will most likely keep in the reef theme with this carving as well.
