He will get over it. Duncans are the one LPS I find to be very sensitive. Kind of been a “canary in the coal mine” for my tank.

ugh, seeing the Duncan shriveled up and the green birds nest retracted is the most heart breaking. I literally watched them grow from small pieces into big beautiful colonies. and now there's a possibility that they're gonna die

so I went to the LFS last night after work and purchased a bag of Seachems Cuprisorb at the recommendation of an employee. I tossed half a bag into my overflow box (1 bag treats 60G). I also picked up a bottle of Seachems Matrix Carbon but have not used it yet.

the corals look like they are recovering but I don't know if it was the waterchange or the Cuprisorb. it seems like the montipora and acropora were hit the hardest. all of the zoas look like they are recovering except the Gobstoppers, they look like they been pickled.

wooo! everything is coming back! I did a 10G water change (2 x 5G buckets up 2 floors is my limit) and that big water really helped a lot and I'm going to keep that bag of Cuprisorb in the tank from now on just in case the rocks sucked in any metals. the acro that turned ghost white is turning brown now, I guess that's a sign of recovery.

thinking about clipping most of the green birds nest as a colony and selling to my lfs, he said he doesn't want frags :(

it's too big now and is actually starting to grow onto the overflow

got a strawberry shortcake acro and a blue tenuis a bit back on the same date.

Strawberry is already encrusting and showing PE like a mille but the tenuis never showed any polyps and just sat there, blue as can be, and suddenly brows out and dies. :/
