I just ordered a 13.5 nano tank for my daughter for Christmas. I'm upgrading the light to a ai prime 16. I did some youtube research on this nano tank. One was saying the ai prime 16 light was heating up her aquarium water. I have a 40 gallon with two prime with no issues, it's about 10 to 12 inch about water level.
Is this the case with the 13 gallon nano.
Any advise please would be helpful
Thank you

Is this a Fluval EVO 13.5 gallon per chance? I think it all depends on things like ambient room temperature and what level of intensity you're running the AI Prime. Generally speaking, I've never had issues with either an AI Prime or Radion heating up any of my shallow lagoon tanks (IM 25 Lagoon).

Yes it is actually.
I'm used to a 40 gallon, what intensity do you recommend and should I keep the prime 16 around -12 inch from surface water.
Thank you

A PAR meter is really the only way to determine accurate light levels, but I'd probably start off lower, ie: 35% or so and go from there.
