I just recently got the orpheks lens and I think it helps when I take pictures to share, since it helps a ton with what it looks like in person. Here are a couple I got from the SBB sale:

Any other closeup pics of the gonis you got, I might have to watch for those for the dec 29th sale? I don't have room for other acros on the rock work.

Haha, anyone! Just curious how the other ones turned out. The carebear is noticeable on your rack. Seems like everyone got a lot of gonis this sale.

I got 9 this sale. I had two SBB already and a third from someone else that has no clue (they sold it as a Mint Green Alveopora but it's identical to the SBB Cousin It but with larger polyps)

Acros are what never color right for me.

@billyocean see the front right? That's my Pink Cadillac. Almost completely green. The Acroberry behind it has tips turning green maybe.

Phosphates are nondetect - trying to bring them up a little. Nitrates are up... 30ish.

Throwing some reef roids to get a little phos going temporarily and order some neophos...its clean phos dosing. Others may have a different suggestion on how to raise phosphates too.

Nitrates are high but better than zero so keep an eye on those. Your new rock is probably gobbling up any available phosphate right now

Pretty sure it is. I feed heavy - 4 times a day. Also, I add Reef Roids to my coral feed regimen frequently. Maybe I need to do it more frequently until the phosphates are up. I can see a slight tint of blue just less than 0.03.

As long as you have some it's good. If your alk is 8.8ish or above you CAN get burnt tips with low phos as well. A hanna ulr phosphate checker is a great investment if you want to elevate the acro keeping success. More than one way to skin a cat but I know this works. My tank has to be dosed on a doser 20 ml a day of neophos to stay in my range. The checker will help you understand when your rock reaches saturation and your dosing can then level out..so testing is important until you know. I still test every few days to make sure I'm trending correctly.

Also, it's a matter of personal preference, I dose clean to get my numbers rather than overfeed which can lead to a host of other issues IMO. I don't have a lot of fish either so more fish would help but I still wouldn't overfeed to obtain higher numbers. In don't run a skimmer either..but I would if I had to i.e. high numbers or low ph. Again..its a personal preference.

I appreciate it! I use Salifert but need to invest in a Hanna. The NO3 and the Alk work great!

Once I took the phosphate game seriously it improved my acros tremendously. But seriously watch it at first because I dosed and dosed and dosed and finally it leveled out. If I wasn't on top of it I would have not noticed my rocks were saturated and overdosed the hell out of it.

I was figuring that half my rocks were new and half were "used" so I've been trying to watch. Now that I've been seeing the blue tint with Salifert I've back off to only once a week max with the Reef Roids. I have Coral Candy, Benepets, Reef Jerky, and phyto that I feed and then a couple times a month I've been adding a 1/4 teaspoon of Reef Roids. I want detectable but not high. I do need to bring my NO3 down so I turned my skimmer back on but only for 10 hours a day. I also increased my magnesium and have noticed that with everything the algae is clearing up. I'm trying! Not serious about Acros really but I do like them, especially the furry ones!

Right on. It's a slow game..you knoweth the deal. Skimmer is great if you need it...I just weirdly don't need mine yet. But lps and gonis dig a little phos as well.
