@BroccoliFarmer @OrchidMiss @Mibu @Gtinnel @Digitalfirex @Jedi1199 @fishface NJFor anyone interested in a chance to win a Sicce pump up to$250 or a Dalua Skimmer I just found this on a YouTube channel I was watching.
I need to make a youtube channel...@BroccoliFarmer @OrchidMiss @Mibu @Gtinnel @Digitalfirex @Jedi1199 @fishface NJ
Anyone else I didn't tag it's because I think you're already following my thread.
could paint with KrylonI think I'm going to let the rock soak for another week and then every day or two I'll add a piece - starting with the sleeve for my return. All the white PVC will be hidden and only the black Locline fittings will be "visible". I think they'll hide very nicely - definitely better than the white PVC.
its hard but fun:I need to make a youtube channel...
My wife didn't want me to do that. I suggested it and even mentioned it is common practice. I made a sleeve of rock that'll work. May look grey for a couple of weeks before the algaes start covering it, but that's alright!could paint with Krylon
The easiest way to conceptualize it to make it easy to design is to think of your item like a loaf of bread. First draw the entire bread, then cut a slice wherever the loaf changes and draw what the cross section looks like there.I got me a Dinkins Snacklepack yesterday! Holy macaronis! There were pods swimming everywhere, crawling on the container wall, scooting along the bottom... Didn't dose the phyto yet but it looks thick!
@Projects with Sam I have an idea for a 3D printed piece for my tank. I currently have one of those old internal refugiums but it uses suction cups and refuses to stay in place. I currently have a magnet helping hold it (but I hate that idea after the last one) and it still slips. My buddy has a 3D printer and I'm going to design up a hanger for the fuge that has tongues that slip into the suction cup slots. Thoughts/ideas?
looks awesome! that'll color up nice!First DIY rock piece added to the tank. pH was still sitting at 8.4 in the soaking bucket after about a week.
Not perfect but it does what I wanted it to do! After a month or two it'll have color like everything else in the tank. I'm thinking I might get a Monti Cap and attach it near the middle and then a Cyphastrea an inch or two down from that. That's my low light area of the tank (I know, the glare is deceptive) so I think adding a cap would be good. Lower light needs than other corals but needs enough light that having it high in the tank at that location would be perfect. It'll shade underneath enough that I could put some NPS or very low light corals (my Leptos LOVE full shade). The Cyphastreas seem to be a medium low in my tanks so I'm thinking under the monti before it starts growing too much.
Wrong thread?Who got the Laffy taffy?
Which lens do you use?The lens is really nice; can just take photos and post them... no messing around with balancing...
