Are you saving the settings after leveling? The system should reboot after setting the Z offset.

Are you doing an auto bed leveling before every print? Some people do a manual level and one auto level then don't allow it before every print.

Some people only use a manual level and shut off ABL.

Definitely sounds like there is an issue but being 1600mi away it's hard to diagnose.

I'm not sure if possibly something is loose or if there is a software issue.
I ran auto level, saved, and then I manually adjusted each corner. My g-code calls out M420 S1 so it's supposed to be using the mesh.

It's one corner that keeps losing level but it's not loosening and raising, it's actually dropping.

I have the official Creality Ender 3 Max enclosure but it's just too small it seems like, and it appears as if the right front leveling knob was catching on it. I had to adjust it some more but it seems to be back level again for now. Printing again so I'll know here within an hour or so. If this one prints successfully I only need 9 more by Sunday. :face-with-tears-of-joy:

Do you have a sign on the microwave "Do not use while Dad is printing!" ?
It's more like "Do not use until you turn off all of the lights in the house and let Dad turn off his fish tank lights."

The printer isn't the real problem, it's just on the same breaker unfortunately.

Dang.... Do you have like 2 breakers? One for the front porch light and one for everything else?

Any chance you have a GFCI outlet going bad? I had one go out once, the breaker kept tripping in the kitchen and I couldn't figure out why. Finally the GFCI quit and I replaced it without any other problems.

hah. yeah; I got bed leveling sensors and then rolled my own marlin to get ABL... now I mostly have it turned off and manually do all my leveling again. I mainly use it for offset so I can swap out glass & PEI without having to touch anything.

It's funny because the garage has 1 that it shares with the outside and the downstairs bathroom, the kitchen, living room, family room, and dining room are one 1 breaker, and then the upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms are on 4 or 5 breakers...

That's approximately 750 watts of LEDs over the fish tanks plus pumps and powerheads, plus the work computer, my personal laptop, the TV, three fans, something like 600 watts of overhead lights, and the printer. As soon as the microwave kicks on, there's another 1100 watts...

Can you fit more than one at a time?

It happens. I'm working on it. At least until I take @Stang67 up on her offer to throw it out the window...
Yup that offer still stands. I would have definately given up by now. Note to self buy the one @Mhamilton0911 has. Hers seems to work OK;)

Can you fit more than one at a time?
Yes, but the second one fails typically. Once I get it dialed in and not failing every other I'll try again.

Is there a lot of play in the unions? What about the bed springs?
Bed springs are tight, not much play. I'm pretty sure the problem was the adjustment knob hitting the enclosure. The print last night was a success. I started another one this morning and it was going good!

So dumb question here. Are the "auto leveling beds" adjustable? I might need to know that in the future?
K1 pro and Bambu are auto leveling with lidar and such I believe.

Most ABL is just a sensor on the hot end, after you manually adjust level and offset, it checks the bed and can adjust slightly the Z axis as it prints to compensate.
