Finally, I found a 120g for a used price $200.
She’s the ugliest most beautiful thing I have ever laid eyes on. I’m going to strip the two overflows, add a ghost overflow and oh so much more to get this one wet again. I decided to put my money towards reputable equipment, instead of the glass box. (Good timing considering frameless tanks are losing fashion, dang you Red Sea.)
My previous tank was a cadlight 60g and just a frameless beauty. That tank grew coral but limped by with basic equipment. (Lighting,Powerheads, manually dosing) Time to flourish and establish a low maintenance 120g for this reefer.

Today’s 120g specs!

It was not tums. Tums has toxic ingredients.

As long as he's slowly drinking. Better to keep close to him so he doesn't feel like he needs to hurry and get back to you.

Food and beverage time, is time from the family. They don't really enjoy that.
Yea wow I’m a bit shocked but okay thank you for letting me know

I’m reading one article that states Bloat is very common in Dobermans….well then why the heck am I just now finding this out hah
Yup. It's scary. They act like they are vomiting. But nothing comes out. Vet gave us something. This was almost 4 years ago. I have no medicine advice. But, prevention is possible.

Wow she’s so pretty, her coat changes color in the light. Beautiful. I’m glad you didn’t have to get surgery. They say risk goes down after surgery because they tie their stomach against something else… goodness that’s heavy stuff.

I will do my best. One thing I can change moving forward is how/when I give food and water. Unfortunately I live in the desert and a dog ravenous for water is hard to avoid here. Giving just enough to lick off the bowl seems to be the trick.

I know they need a lot if water in those territories. You'll be fine. You've been armed with info. You can adjust as needed. If your boy is a calm eater and drinker. You'll be alright. Just never know though.

Thanks yea he doesn’t make a big deal over eating and drinking like the Dalmatian. I swear you can hear the Dalmatian drinking water from across the house. Sounds like kids throwing rocks in a pool

Thank you kindly! We plan on sending the Dalmatian off to boarding school for guard dog training…. The wife suggests we just get a second Doberman since they hardly need training :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing: such a smart breed.

Poor dalmation. Sunny, was such a sweet dog before my son was born. After she met him, the hell hound came out. I miss my puppy. She's his dog now. I'm the one who gives treats and yummies.

I can second all the advice about the bloat. My in laws had one that constantly had issues. They would give him yogurt.. saying it helped. I never agreed. Eventually he past from what I believe were digestive issues. :(
Bloat is scary in dogs. :( sorry to hear

Now, I need to buy a dremel....
You should! They’re lightweight but super strong. This one has a speed dial so you can set the speed to your application with ease. I needed something to cut euphyllia because the bone cutters were way too risky. Exhibit B
