I would love to win this new Orphek light so I can move away from the purchasing of T5 bulbs every 10-12 months and finally have a tank lit solely by LEDs.

DAILY QUESTION: What are factors that you consider important when choosing a reef light? Why did you choose the light that you are currently using on your reef tank?

Factors that are important is reliability of the LED. I use top rated LEDs on a single board not all crammed together.
If for some reason one does burn out , i can remove the light, trouble shoot the problem, replace the LED if necessary and return the fixture back in good working order within about an hours time.

I like that they use 6W LED chips, which translates to major water depth penetration (also can hang it higher if you want). I don't think anyone else is using chips that strong.
